Harold Grant Close

October 14, 1949 – January 10, 2019

Harry, a loving husband and father, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at the age of 69 in Tampa, FL with his wife by his side.

Harry was born to Harold and Dorothy Close in Pittsburgh, PA on October 14, 1949. He grew up in Pittsburgh and eventually joined the U.S. Air Force. He moved to Florida in the 1980's, where he met his wife, Tammy, and they opened up a paint and body shop near their hometown of Riverview, FL.

Harry spent a lot of time hanging out with his family and friends. He was a car collector and member of the Moose Fraternity. He also loved to ride his tractor on his farm in Tennessee.

Harry is survived by his loving wife Tammy of 28 years, 7 children (Heath, Heather, Harry, Melissa, Ashley, Ryan, and Kenny), 8 grandchildren, his mother Dorothy (Dottie) Close, and 5 siblings (Leigh, Gale, Marilyn, Wayne, and Paul). He was preceded in death by his father Harold S. Close.
