Guy Arnold Bennett, III, died on September 22, 2007. He was the son of Guy A. Bennett, Jr. and Glenna Sizemore Bennett. He was preceded in death by his father; sister: Maynor Bennett Roberts; and brother: Robert A. Bennett. He was born in Miami, FL on April 17, 1955. He graduated from Brandon High School in 1974 and attended Hillsborough Community College. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Brandon. Guy had worked for the U.S. Postal Service since 1978 and his current position was as the Postmaster of Balm, FL. Guys favorite pastimes included being out on the water, spending time with friends & going to sporting events - especially Gator games. He enjoyed working out and had previously held the title of "Mr. Orlando" and "Mr. Tampa". He coached youth baseball and basketball in Brandon for several years. He is survived by his mother, Glenna S. Bennett; sister: Elizabeth Stewart (Robby) and son Christian; brother: Charles Bennett (Lori) and son Jacob; nephews: Tommy and Daniel Bennett; and niece: Katie Bennett; aunt and uncle: Betty and Chuck Fallis and their children, Steve, Jane, Beth, and Susan of Salem, VA; and aunt: Peggy Landress and son John of Fort Myers, FL. There will be a memorial gathering on Thursday, September 27, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. A Celebration of Guy's Life will be held on Friday, September 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home, Pastor Tommy Green will be officiating.
