Guillermo was born on August 10, 1937 and fell asleep in death on January 6, 2023

He was born in Ciales, Puerto Rico to Antonia and Manuel Melendez

Both his parents and his only sister Luz Ortiz preceded him.

Guillermo is survived by his beloved wife - Evangelista of 62 years of marriage

4 Children: William, Diannet, Miriam and Argelia

Sons-in law & Daughter In-law: Gabriel, Dinora and Earl

11 Grandchildren: Celinda, Qiana, Quinn, Joshua, Jasmine, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Larry, Gina, Kira and Maritza. And bless with 24 Great Grandchildren.

Many cherished brothers & sisters in-law, nieces, nephews from the Melendez Family.

Guillermo loved helping others.  He would give his shirt away if it meant it helped another person.  He loved his family wholeheartedly by being a loving Husband and Father.  But he loved God first. Not surprising when he learned the truth, and got baptized on March 18, 1972.  He immediately jumped into the ministry work to help his family and others to learn about making a better life for themselves in Jehovah's organization. To teach about the hope, resurrection and Jehovah's promise of living forever in a beautiful paradise right here on earth.

Guillermo has fallen asleep in death yet in God's memory, awaiting the coming resurrection. That is where we will see him soon in a new world, a paradise where we will see our love ones that went to sleep due to death.
