Grace M. Wade, of Riverview, FL, age 73, passed away at LifePath Hospice in Sun City on May 17, 2017. She was born in Selma, AL and is the daughter of Reverend Carl L. and Mary Ida Wilson, of Anniston, AL, and the sister to Carl Wilson Jr. Mrs. Wade touched and shaped many lives and her spirit lives on in those who knew and loved her. Married to Mr. Matson L. Wade, US Army retired career musician, she traveled the world and immersed herself in the European communities where she lived. She volunteered her time to helping young people and served as Chapel Youth Leader, Cheerleading Coach, Cub Scouts Den Mother, and Girl Scouts Brownie Volunteer. Mrs. Wade was also active in the PTA and Protestant Women of the Chapel. Shortly after moving to Riverview, she hosted Life Group, an in-home adult Bible study small group. In her home-going, Mrs. Wade leaves behind a loving family. Her husband of 57 years, Matson L. Wade Sr., and their three children and respective families. Oldest son, Matson Wade Jr. and his wife Jean Forstner and daughter Olivia. Second oldest son, Barry Wade and his wife Susan, and their two children Nicole and Jason. Youngest child Sharon Ball and her husband Ernest Ball, and her two stepchildren April and Andre. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Vernese Wade, Eileen Wade, and Rose Gordon; brothers-in-law Charles Wade and Habibullah Mujahid; nieces Donna Wilson-Robinson, Carla Wilson and Rita Wilson. Viewing will be from 9:00-10:00 AM followed by the memorial service at 10:00 AM on May 26, 2017 at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park Funeral Home located at 6919 Providence Rd., Riverview, FL 33578. Mrs. Wade will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery on the 26th at 2:30 PM. Memorial gifts in Mrs. Wade's honor can be made to St. Jude, Feed the Children, or the charity of your choice.
