Gloria J Melovich, 76, of Riverview passed away on September 28, 2025. Gloria was born in Youngstown Ohio in 1949 to Louis Melovich and Elsie Jordan Melovich.

Gloria attended Pinecrest from K-12th grade and graduated in 1967 from Pinecrest. She went on to serve in the Army. Gloria worked in the trucking industry for over 30 years and for the last 20 years, she worked for Progressive Insurance as a customer service rep. She was always a top 1% achiever in both industries.

Gloria was a fun, loving, caring, and free spirit. She was always willing to help those in need no matter what was required. She liked music, dancing, playing cards, and spending time with her friends. She also enjoyed listening to classic country and Christian music and liked watching classic western movies and TV shows.

Gloria was also a sports fan. She was a cheerleader and majorette in high school. She loved the FSU Seminoles, Tampa Bay Rays, Tampa Bay Bucs, Denver Broncos.

Gloria's dog Louie, and her family were so special to her. She loved walking her dog and showing him off any chance she had. She loved to cook meals for her family during the holidays. That is something her family will miss so dearly, she was excellent cook.

Gloria is survived by her son, Michael Perez, brother, John Melovich, nieces, Annette Melovich Lou Ann Melovich, Shelly Browder, nephew, Chad Melovich, her toy poodle, Louie, several cousins and grand nieces and nephews. Gloria is preceded in death by her mother, Elsie Melovich, father, Louis Melovich, and brother, Louis Melovich II.

The family would like to send Special Thanks for helping and visiting the last six months to dear friends, Susan Dawson, Bonnie Denny, Peggy Jones, Lisa Donini, Dee Vas, John Melovich, her neighbors, Shane Zinn, Ryan Yearwick and Jill Bower, Health Workers, Stacy Southworth Harloff and Mary Brown, and TGH Critical Care Cardiac unit doctors and nurses.

There will be a visitation held for Gloria on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home (6919 Providence Rd, Riverview, FL). There will be a funeral service held at Serenity Meadows and officiated by Pastor Troy Walliser on Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at 10:00 am with a graveside service to follow at Pelote Cemetery in Lithia, FL.
