Cross, Glen Edward, 72, of Tampa, FL, was received into the presence of his Savior on July 24, 2012 after a tragic accident. Glen was born in New Castle, Indiana to Barnell and Anne Cross on August 12, 1939. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Sandy, and three children: son, Todd Cross, and daughters, Kelly Osimo and Kathy (Scott) Nixon. Glen was blessed by five grandchildren that he loved so much: Jessie, Sarah, Jacob, Sam and Isaac; and daughter-in-law, Lisa Cross. He is also survived by his loving puppy, Macy. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was honored to have served his country. "Eddie", as he was known to his friends in Indiana, came to Florida in 1968 partnering with Mandell "Hinks" Shimberg and Jim Shimberg. They were instrumental in developing many communities in the Tampa Bay area. Of note were the areas of Town and Country, Carrollwood, and eastern Hillsborough County, including Riverview and FishHawk. He enjoyed his cars, racing, Broadway shows, golf, and spending time with family and friends. Glen was loved by so many and will be greatly missed. His genuine character, kind demeanor, and care for others are a few of the traits that defined Glen's life. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Brandon 216 N.
