WALLACE, Gladyce Marie, 85, of Riverview, Fla., passed away Friday,
December 4, 2009. Born in
Erie, Pa., Mrs. Wallace had been a Florida resident since 1971. She was a 32-year volunteer of the Brandon Regional Hospital Auxillary and a member of the Red Hat Society. Mrs. Wallace loved to be with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling, reading, watching football and game shows, playing Bingo and eating ice cream. For the past nine years, Mrs. Wallace dearly missed her husband of 52 years, Bill. Survivors include her son, Robert Wallace (Debbye); daughter, Carolyn (Rodney) Butler; brother, Kenneth (Sharon) Schmitt; and sister, Kay (Thomas) Brown. She was "Grandma" to Keisha and Dawn, "Nana" to Donta, Tey and Jesiah and "Aunt Gladyce" to many nieces, nephews and other special children. A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2009, at Kingswood Mobile Home Community, 10109 Oak Forest Drive, Riverview, FL 33569. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to LifePath Hospice, 12973 Telecom Parkway, North Temple Terrace, FL 33637 or BRHA Scholarship Fund, 119 Oakfield Drive, Brandon, FL 33511.
