Gillie Sikes Baker, age 90, of Gibsonton, FL originally from Ruskin, FL, passed away at her daughter's home in Lakeland on March 1st, 2023 after a battle with dementia and a stroke. Her passing occurred on the birth date of her dearly departed husband LaVaughn. Gillie was primarily a house wife and mother but early in life held one unusual job rolling cigars at Hav-a-Tampa.

She loved her family and her grandson Adam and enjoyed spending time in her church at South Shore Baptist in Riverview.

Gillie spent her entire life in Ruskin and Gibsonton, Florida.

Gillie is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, LaVaughn Baker. She is survived by her daughter Treva Davies, Treva's husband Bill and son Adam and his wife Bristol; and her daughter Judy Kilgore and Judy's husband Frank. She is also survived by one sister Maxine Dozier and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

All who knew her will truly miss her in their life.
