George Spano went on to see the Lord on April 9, 2019 with his family all around him, at the age 80. He was a strong godly, family man who was married to his wife Jane over 59 years. Dad served in the Navy for 6 years and was a carpenter/builder his entire career. He served most of his life as a deacon and ran the Deaf Ministry at his church. He was known for his great smile and is now smiling in heaven.

George is survived by his loving family, wife of 59 years, Jane Reeves Spano; daughter Wendy West and her husband Lee; daughter Tami Schaller and her husband Paul; son Tim Spano and his wife Stacey; grandchildren: Landon West and his wife Kaley, Breanna Patterson and her husband Ryan, Haylie Lilley and her husband William, Jake Spano and his wife Bianca, Josh Spano, Jada Spano, Noah Schaller, Cole Schaller; and great grandchildren: Kayden West, Taylor Brown and Brice Patterson, MaKenzie, Brelyn and Willow Lilley, Lynken and Ledger West, Karina Spano.

There will be a visitation on Friday, April 12, 2019 from 9:00 am to 10:30 am at Bell Shoals Baptist Church in Brandon, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 am. He will be laid to rest at 2:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park, Providence Rd. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in his memory to Alzheimer's Foundation of America at alzfdn.org or LifePath Hospice at chaptershealth.org
