Leddy, George M., passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2009. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. He was born March 25, 1924 in Chicago, IL and resided in Park Forest, IL before retiring to Brandon, FL in 1993. He was a loving father who was devoted to his family. His favorite past times included gardening and playing the piano. He enjoyed listening to classical music and especially Irish folk tunes.

George was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gladys and his sister, Patricia (Kevin) Leonard. He is survived by his loving family which includes his son, Robert (Lorena); daughters, Catherine (Raymond) Dempsey, Norine (Thomas) Thompson and Patricia (the late Darryl) Cook; grandchildren, Amber (Michael) Hess, Michelle, Jason, Emily Jean, Victor and Jessica and many nieces. A celebration of George's life will take place at 10 a.m. Monday, January 26, 2009 at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
