George G.J. Torpey, 72, of Thonotosassa, FL, passed away September 26, 2010. He was born August 5, 1938. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, serving 22 years. He was preceded in death by his children, Guy and Laura. He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn P. Westbrook Torpey; brother, Drew Torpey (Janet); daughter, Danielle Smith (Joe); many grandchildren and bonus children and grandchildren. He was a loving, caring, and wonderful man that will be greatly missed. There will be a memorial service on Monday, October 4, 2010 at 10:30 am at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
