George W. Fratz Sr.(October 14,1948-May 4, 2023) loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away May 4th after a courageous fight with cancer surrounded by his loved ones. George proudly served the US Army in Vietnam from 1968 to 1970. After discharge, George began a 38 year career with Sears as a Shipper and Receiver. As a Philadelphia native, he loved spending time at the Jersey shore where he called home in retirement. He could be found on his deck watching the water with a Sam Adams listening to Motown with his family. He was a proud and active member of the local VFW. In 2021, George relocated to the Tampa Bay area to be closer to his family.

George is predeceased by his parents, George and June Fratz, and his brother Gary Fratz. He is survived by his wife Joann(Favuzzi), his son George(Nickole), his grandchildren Natalie(her fiancé Matthew), Connor, and Ryan as well as his great grandchildren and many nieces and
nephew.

The family will be having private services. In lieu of flowers, they request donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network or the American Cancer Society.
