Mr. George William Fears, Jr., 69, of Balm, Florida, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, November 25, 2025. A gathering at 2 PM and a Memorial Service at 2:30 PM will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park, Funeral Home & Crematory, 6919 Providence Rd, Riverview, Florida.
Born in Tampa, Florida on November 7, 1956, George always focused on hard work and created a lifelong home for his family and farm. He was known for his relentless dedication to integrity and trust and devoted 41 years of work to Tampa Electric Company as a Lineman and ultimately retired as a Supervisor. When not working, you would find George at home spending time with his family or caring for the animals; he was the pillar of his family — a man who stood firm in his beliefs, occasionally spoke his mind, and always made sure his household and loved ones were treasured. As a devoted and loving husband, he shared 48 years with Marilyn Fears of which 45 years were married. As a compassionate and supportive father, he proudly raised two young men, Gregory (age 42) and Christopher (age 39). George had a passion for hunting, thrill for fishing, and a fire for being a football Gator fan.
George leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Marilyn Ruby Fears (Janes), 65, (Balm, FL); his children, Gregory Fears, 42, (Los Angeles, CA), and Christopher Fears, 39, (Zephyrhills, FL); his beloved "daughter-in-law", Trista Jenkins, 41, (Zephyrhills, FL); a "step grandson", Xaviar Aguirre, 17; a granddaughter, Madilynn Fears, 4; a brother, Richard Fears (and wife Julie), and many extended family members, TECO family, and friends who will forever honor his life and legacy.
