Gary M. Thornton, 56, of Riverview passed away on Tuesday, October 05, 2010. Born in Bartow, Florida he was a life long local resident. A member of Alafia Baptist Church, Lithi, FL., Mr. Thornton enjoyed fishing, ranching and working. Survivors include his son; Roland , brother; Jon and his mother, Evelyn L. Thornton. He was preceded in death by his father; Billy H. Thornton and his brother; Mark H. Thornton. The family will receive friends at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home on Thursday, October 7, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will follow the visitation. Burial will be at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park.
