Kirkpatrick, Gale F., 78, of Valrico, passed away at home under Hospice care, on September 22, 2008 after a long illness. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Alice, and loving family. "Kirk" was a retired Air Force fighter pilot who flew 182 combat missions in Vietnam. He was awarded many medals including the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was a graduate of Tulane University where he was a football star. There will be a private service for the family.
