Freeman Jones, 48, of Riverview (formerly San Francisco, CA), passed away on August 7, 2014. Freeman was a member of Men in Motion, "Let's Talk Recovery" in San Francisco. He is preceded in death by his parents, Freeman Jones and Jerry Ann Russell; Grandfather Benjamin "Ben" Russell and Grandmother Cleopatra "Honey" Russell; son, Bobby Jones; and father-in-law; Mose Peacock Jr., Freeman is survived by his loving, devoted family; cherished wife of 20 years, Angela Jones; children, Jason (Kim) Jones, Antione Jones, Roland (Naima) Jones, Dontell Peacock-Jones and his baby girl Domonique Ayana Jones "The Pops"; grandmother, Ethel Campbell; brothers, David Daniels, Raymundo Russell, Effriam Jones; sister, Lisa Williams; mother-in-law, Minnie Peacock; father-in-law, Leroy (Pauline) Tartt; brother-in-law, Fred (Selena) Peacock; sisters-in-law, Rosetta Peacock; Arnita (Archie) Sneed; in addition, godchildren, Anthony "The Poops", Saleem, Trystan, Aisha and Roshaunda; 7 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial gathering on Saturday, August 16, 2014 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home.
