Frederick Fields Grone(Fred) of Riverview, 88 years old, passed away on October 2, 2021.
Frederick is survived by Sandra Knight Grone(wife); Gina Grone Paduano(Daughter); Brittany Paduano Ross(Granddaughter); Paul Gabriel Paduano Jr(Grandson); Brielle Kaye Ross(Great Granddaughter) and Bette Fletcher(Sister)
Frederick is pre deceased by Clyde Pratt Grone(Father) and Jess Marie Scalf(Mother)
Fred was born and raised in Ashland, Kentucky on March 22 1933 . He moved to Vero Beach in 1961 where he met the love of his life, Sandra. Their Daughter Gina, was born in 1967 and was his pride and joy. He was employed at Piper Aircraft and thereafter, Citizens Federal Savings and Loan as the Assistant Vice President. After retiring from Citizens, he worked part time at the Indian River County Clerk of the Court and he volunteered for the Indian River County Sheriffs Department as a Civilian Auxiliary Patrol(CAP). He had a passion for playing golf and loved cheering on Dan Marino and the Miami Dolphins on Sundays, however his truest love was traveling around the United States with his family to watch his grandson, Paulie, play ice hockey. Fred and Sandy were married 58 years upon his passing.
Memorial service will be held in Vero Beach, FL at Strunk Funeral Home on Saturday, November 6th at 12 PM. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer's Association.
