Freda "Kandy" Byrd went to be with our Lord on December 28th, 2021.  Her services will be January 10th, 2022 at Serenity Meadows 1:00 Visitation, 2:00 pm Service.  Kandy was predeceased by her beloved husband James and is survived by her three sons, James Byrd II (Janet), Kevin Byrd (Cindy), and Keith Byrd; five grandchildren, Ashlee, Anna (Jeff), Gavin, Mariann (Kevin) and Garrett.  Five great grandchildren, Alivia, Isabelle, Marie, Kristopher, and Matthew.  Her two brothers, Sonny and Danny plus numerous nephews and nieces and her step-father, Jack Fingar.

Kandy will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving daughter and mother.  She was artistic and creative.  She first expressed this talent as a hairdresser and went on to create other artistic pieces in various mediums.  Kandy was also a terrific cook and hostess.  She will be missed by all who knew her, her legacy lives on in her descendants
