Lewis, Fred William was born August 21, 1922. He died March 11, 2013. Bill was born in Harlan County Kentucky, the third of ten children born to Chester and Florence Lewis, and the second oldest of six sons who lived to adulthood. He is survived by his brother Garret Giles (wife Maggie) Lewis of Paris, Kentucky, his wife Ruby, and his daughter Vivalera Lewis Hiroms (husband Charles) Stich, grandsons Michael and Billy (wife Vicky) Hiroms, great granddaughters Tara, Taylor, Tiffany, Savannah and Gracie, and great grandson Aydin, Bill is also survived by several nephews, nieces, and cousins. In the summer of 1955 Bill, Ruby, and Vi moved to Clearwater, FL. He retired from the Utilities Department of the City of Clearwater on September 11, 1986. Bill and Ruby lived in Homer, GA for thirteen years prior to 2000 as a retirement gift to themselves. In Homer they worshipped and participated in Homer Baptist Church and held community Bible studies in their home as well. They also participated in numerous civic activities. Since 2000 Bill and Ruby have been residents of Kings Point and members of Trinity Baptist Church in Sun City Center where they have participated in many volunteer programs. The family request that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Life Path Hospice Green Team: 11150 N. 53rd Street Temple Terrace, Florida 33617 . Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 14, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. with viewing one hour prior to the service at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. Private interment will follow.
