Obituary

Box, Frances Elaine, 79 of Brandon has gone to her heavenly home, on Friday, September 23,2011, after a brief illness. Born in Norfolk, Nebraska, January 30, 1932,to Adolph Frederick and Mabel Uecker. Frances was orphaned at a young age and lived with her sister and brother -in-law, Fern and Al Raasch. She considered her nieces, Judy Lage and Jean Hagquist, more as sisters. Frances married Henry Box and graduated from Bishop Clarkson Memorial School of Nursing in 1953. Frances had been a local resident since 1971, working in nursing homes in the area, after moving here from Alabama. Frances enjoyed time with her family, the University of Florida football, USF football, and the Buccaneers. Frances loved traveling, especially New York City! Frances was a member of Brandon Church of the Nazarene, and she enjoyed caring for her family and quilting. Preceded in death by her husband, Henry, she is survived by her loving family, daughter, Camille (Wayne) Harper), sons, Gardner (Dedra) Box, Fredrick (Donna) Box, four grandchildren and her extended family of sister-in-laws, brother-in law, as well as many nephews and nieces. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the funeral home and burial will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
