Floyd "Bud" Everett Brown, passed away in the compassionate care of Sun City Hospice House, January 16, 2022, surrounded by the family he loved and cherished.
Bud was born on July 31, 1939, in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Floyd Everett Brown, Sr. and Dorothy Dunn. His brother, Don Brown preceded him in death, as did his beloved wife, Donna Claudine Brown.
Bud is survived by his loving son, Mark Brown of Brandon, FL. Buddy, as he was affectionately called by his grandchildren, will be remembered by: Kody T. Brown (Jalisa), Mason E. Brown and Madison Rose Brown. Bud was immensely proud of his nephew, Stephen Brown and niece, Erin Brown and deeply loved his nieces Wendy Schrey, Cassie Schrey, Amanda Flores and nephew Shannon Schrey. He shared a special relationship with his forever daughter-in-love, Katie. Bud spent the last years in the loving companionship of his significant other, Patricia Taritero, Riverview.
Bud enjoyed a successful career in the liquor and wine sales business in California, earning the esteemed honor of Salesman of the Year in 1976. Bud continued his sales career in Florida, making a shift to grocery sales. He truly enjoyed the creativity of building store displays and featuring his products and took great pride in those tasks. However, he could have gladly done without the computer aspects of the job, a complaint he made known.
Bud was a man of faith. He didn't talk about it as much as he lived it out in his quiet manner. He attended Nativity Catholic Church in Brandon, FL for many years and then later Resurrection Catholic Church, Riverview, FL.
Bud treasured his family and he enjoyed many long-term precious friendships. He loved music and dancing, playing pool and darts and spending time outside in the Florida sunshine with the people he loved most.
