September 7, 1950 — April 14, 2019
Archer, Everad Renaldo, 68, of Brandon, FL, passed away on April 14, 2019. Everad was born in Sandy Point, St. Kitts and was a part of the 'Class of '69' at Charlotte Amalie High School. At the age of 12, he moved to St. Thomas, where his athletics truly took shape. Although he held many academic accomplishments, his biggest claim to fame was his success on the track and in AA Baseball. He became a local celebrity in the Virgin Islands, being featured frequently in the Virgin Islands Daily News and on WSTA radio, highlighting his strong arm from centerfield and from behind the plate. "Arch" also qualified to run in the Pan Am Games in Barbados at the age of 15. He later served in the US Army and earned the rank of Sergeant in the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Benning, Georgia. Everad graduated from the University of South Florida with a Baccalaureate Degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences. Most of his career he worked for various government offices, starting in the Virgin Islands and then working for the City of Tampa for 18 years. Everad was a wonderful gardener and enjoyed spending time outdoors. He is preceded in death by his mother, Doris Wilhelmina Archer; father, Aubrey Fraites; and siblings, Patrick and Cuthbert. Everad is survived by his loving family, wife of 43 years, Eva Archer; daughters, Jacqui (Timothy) White, Eddi Marie Archer, Alexis (Terry) Scipio, Evonne Archer, and Evette (Emmanuel) Awa; siblings, Junie, Shirley, Damian, and Michelle Tanya (Rob); and grandchildren, Caleb, Aubrey, Ty, Zane, Taylor, and Ruth. There will be a funeral service on Friday, April 19, 2019 at 9:30 am at 34 th Street Church of God in Tampa, the family will greet guests at 9:00 am. He will be laid to rest at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
