Evelyn V. Hatcher-Lipscomb, 88 of Zephryhills, passed away on May 26, 2011. She was born on March 23, 1923 in Wachula, Florida and was a lifetime resident of the local area. Evelyn was of the Baptist faith. She was a member of many organizations including the Women's Club of Tampa, the A.C.S, a dedicated member of the Republican Party and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Confederacy. In her spare time, Evelyn enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Lipscomb. She is survived by a daughter, Marla Sloan of Zephyrhills and a brother, Stanly Durrance (Barbara) of Ft. Meade, FL. along with 2 grandchildren, Polly Parnell and Jimmie Sloan and 3 great-grandchildren, Jinnie Sloan, Leslie Parnell and Jordan Parnell.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011 at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home at 1:00 PM with a gathering of friends from 12:00 - 1:00 PM preceding. Inurnment to follow at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park.
