Ernest L. Pines, 73, passed away at home, on May 9, 2012.
He was born in Tounggyi, Burma, and came to this country at
age 17. After high school and college, he was employed by
Woodward State Hospital, Goodwill Industries and the Iowa
State Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. In 1975, he and
his family came to Tampa, Florida. He purchased the Florida
School of Dog Grooming, Inc. and retired from there in 2004.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jayson. He is survived
by his wife Tamara, Son David, (Dana) and Aiden, three sisters,
Debbie Pines, Becky Venenga, and Susan Carr, all of Cedar
Falls, Iowa. Memorial services are going to be on May 19, 2012,
in Cedar Falls.
