Obituary

Elsie Panchuk, 89, long time resident of Brandon went to be with her Lord on Thursday, November 8. She was preceded in death by her daughter Christina and her husbands Harry Panchuk and Dr. Nicholas Moskaluk. She is survived by her daughter Sophia Moskaluk and additional family in Germany. She immigrated to the USA in 1949 and came to Brandon in 1958. She became an American citizen. She was a founding member of Epiphany of Our Lord Ukrainian Catholic Church in St. Petersburg where she worked tirelessly and was a member of the Ladies Guild and the Choir. Elsie was a loving mother and wife and worked as a bookkeeper for La Monte Shimberg Builders for many years. She was a talented seamstress; prolific knitter and amazing counted-cross-stitch embroiderer. She won numerous ribbons at the Florida State Fair for her beautiful hand made creations. She loved flowers and enjoyed watching the birds, butterflies and squirrels in her garden. She touched many lives throughout her life with her kind and generous spirit. There will be a memorial service for Elsie on Wednesday, November 14 at 10:30 a.m. at Serenity Meadows in Riverview. Interment to follow at a later date at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Pinellas.
