Ward, Elizabeth, was born on April 18, 1926 in Knox, IN, she passed into everlasting life on March 21, 2015. Elizabeth was a first generation Assyrian born in the US and had 5 brothers. She was member of Providence Baptist Church for 45 years, was active in the Special Needs ministry at First Baptist Church of Brandon, and was involved in the senior's ministry at Southside Baptist Church. She was a licensed cosmetologist and a member of the PBX communicator's organization. Elizabeth is survived by her loving family, daughters, Salby (Robert), Julie, Roxana (Zac), and Candace (Tim); brother, David and his family; grandchildren, Amber, Alex, and Wes; and a large extended family. There will be a funeral service on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, the family will greet guests at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ward Family Special Needs Trust through BBT Bank, or to Special Olympics www.specialolympics.org. The family would like to express their gratitude to Hawthorne Village for their loving care of Elizabeth over the last two years and to the LifePath Hospice Silver Team for all of their support.
