Wyant, Elizabeth Lane Hurd, 93, of Tampa, passed away on October 2, 2018. Elizabeth, better known as, Betty, was a devoted wife and mother. She was a selfless woman who was always gracious with others. As quoted in her 1942 Adams H.S., Massachusetts yearbook, "To know her is to love her," rang true every day of Betty's life, as were her giggles and beautiful smile. Betty graduated from Middlebury College in VT in 1946 and went on to work as a research biologist in NYC for ten years. She loved music, accompanying her husband on her keyboard, or joyfully dancing with him. She enjoyed tennis, golf and the outdoors, sailing, bicycling and camping with her family. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, John W. Wyant. Betty is survived by her loving family, children, John B Wyant of Charlotte, N.C., and Liza (Jim) Wobensmith; grandchildren, John Charles Wobensmith and Meghan Lane Wobensmith, of Tampa, FL; and brother, Benjamin W. Hurd, of Sarasota, FL.
