After a grueling battle with cancer, Elizabeth Hersey Fippinger passed away peacefully on June 3rd, 2023.

Born Elizabeth Marie Hersey on February 24th, 1959 in Dade City, Florida to Jessie Hersey and Gracie Baker, Elizabeth worked hard for everything. Her life took her to Pennsylvania, Colorado, Texas, and New York, but she always considered Florida her home. Fittingly, she will be laid to rest close to her childhood home.

Elizabeth was a dedicated mother, both to her own son Anthony and her stepson Bryan, and a dedicated wife to Bryan's father Peter. She had many hobbies, from sewing to gardening to wine making. She was passionate in her faith, and shared it with all she could. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her dear husband Peter Fippinger. She leaves behind her son Anthony Hersey, his spouse Joan Tang, and grandchildren Malcolm and Clementine Tang-Hersey; also her stepson Bryan Fippinger, his spouse Jen Fippinger, and granddaughter Brenna Fippinger. Elizabeth is also survived by her siblings Bunnie Hitt, Beverly Binfield, Donald Hersey, Carol Brookheart, Jerald Hersey, and Glenda Evans.

A funeral mass was held at Transfiguration Church in Tarrytown, New York on June 9th at 11 AM. A smaller ceremony will take place later on June 24th at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home & Memorial Park in Riverview, Florida.
