Elizabeth Swafford Brooks November 29, 1931 – July 15, 2025

Elizabeth Swafford Brooks, 93, of Valrico, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025.

Elizabeth was born on November 29, 1931, in Wauchula, Florida, to Valdar and Ina Mae (McGinnis) Swafford. She married the love of her life, Dennis Brooks, on September 14, 1951, and together they shared nearly 74 wonderful years of marriage.

She retired from The Clorox Company and was a devoted longtime member of First Baptist Church of Brandon, where her faith and kindness touched many lives.

Elizabeth is survived by her beloved husband, Dennis; sons Dennis Brooks Jr. (Cyndi) and Gary Brooks (Cathy); grandchildren Kana Brooks, Joseph Brooks (Alysia) and Lauren Quincey (Joshua); great-grandchildren Jaren Quincey and Eilidh Quincey; and sister Patsy Williams (Jerry).

She was laid to rest at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park in Riverview, Florida.

Elizabeth will be remembered for her deep faith, devotion to family, and the warmth and grace she shared with everyone who knew her.
