Elizabeth Helen (Mcglone) Almeda, 97, formerly of Braintree, Waltham, and Marlborough, Massachusetts, passed away Saturday October 13, 2007. Her husband, Charles Almeda preceded her in death, in 1973. Also, preceding her in death were her loving children, Albert (Sonny) Almada and Doris M Hicks. She is survived by her loving granddaughter, Sherry Byrd McNamee (Douglas), of Valrico Florida, great grand children, great great grand children, family, and many many friends. Elizabeth (Betty) was born, the youngest of 19 children in Braintree Massachusetts to Alfred and Mary Agnes (Fagan) McGlone. Waltham, Massachusetts is were she lived with her family and worked for almost 30 years for the Waltham Screw Company before she moved to Marlborough Massachusetts and finally settled in Brandon, Florida.. Betty loved life and enjoyed life to the fullest, traveling to as many places as she could. She had many loving friends and would be ready to go anywhere and do anything at a moments notice. Betty lives on, though, in the hearts and memories of so many people she has touched. To your grave I always wander, the flowers I place with care, but no one knows the heartache as I turn and leave you there. God took you to his garden, he knew you needed rest. His garden must be beautiful; he only takes the best. Special thanks to Park Club of Brandon and Life Path Hospice. There will be no memorial service and she will be interred, at a later date, at the Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree, Massachusetts.
