Mayhall, Eleanor Ruth, 87, of Riverview, FL, passed away on August 20, 2010. Eleanor was born in Cumberland, MD. She served as a First Class Petty Officer in the Naval WAVES during WWII, where she met her husband of 65 years, John Edward Mayhall. Eleanor was very active in Riverview United Methodist Church and was the first secretary for the church. She founded the church newsletter, The Bell' and published it weekly for many years. She also collaborated on the writing of the church history. Eleanor served as a Cub Scout Den Mother and a Girl Scout Leader. Eleanor is survived by her husband, John; 2 children, Walter (and JoAnn) Mayhall and Karen aka Kim (and Gary) Floyd; 4 grandchildren, Suzy (and Mike) Gay, Tanya (and Steve) Parker, John (and Rachel) Floyd and Amanda (and Bradley) Fisher; and 4 great-grandchildren, Victoria, Michaela, Ryan and Trenton. A Celebration of Eleanor's Life will be held at Riverview United Methodist Church on Monday, August 23, 2010 at 3:00 pm.
