Venglik, Edward J., Sr., 76, of Valrico, FL, passed away on July 10, 2016. Edward was originally from Pittsburgh, PA. He proudly served in the US Army, where he worked as an athletics director. He retired from GTE (Verizon) after 33 years of service. Edward was a devoted sports fan, loving the Florida Gators, Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins & Pirates. He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Sophia Venglik; and brother, Michael Venglik. Edward is survived by his loving family, wife of 50 years, Joan Venglik; daughter, Lisa (Shawn) O'Malley of Valrico, FL; son, Ed (Allyson) Venglik, Jr. of Atlanta, GA; brother, Rich (Jonnie) Venglik of Birmingham, AL; sister, Cecilia Yurocko (Rich) of Pittsburgh, PA; and grandchildren, Josey, Nicholas, and Oliver. There will be a visitation on Friday, July 15, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Stephen Catholic Church. He will be laid to rest at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park.
