Maynard, Edward "Ed" H., III
Edward Maynard passed away on November 23, 2017, at the age of 74 years. Ed was born on June 29, 1943 in Miami, FL to the late Edward and Helen Partridge Maynard. He is also preceded in death by his oldest sister, Judy Huggett Field. Ed attended Coral Gables High School and Miami Dade Community College. He was a member of the United States Marine Reserve. He began his automotive career at Tropical Chevrolet which eventually led to his long-standing career as Comptroller of Abraham Chevrolet in Tampa, FL. Ed worked at Durdin Chevrolet and with the Asbury Group of Tampa before retiring from Gator Ford in September of 2013. In addition to his full work schedule, Ed made time to take on leadership roles in his family's school functions, recreational sports, high school organizations, and community events. Ed married the love of his life, Michele Robertson, on June 3, 1967. He spent his married life making her feel appreciated and cherished. Ed was a loving and involved father of Amy (husband, Anthony "Tony" Marra) of Lithia and Robert (wife, Mary Beth Campbell Maynard) of Clermont. His grandchildren Maddy and Campbell Maynard, Lexi Myers, and Anthony, Alex, and Addy Marra will miss their devoted Papa. Surviving sister, Nancy Sierra aka "Crazy LuLu" of Miami, will hold his memories in her heart forever. Ed leaves behind his dear nieces, nephews, and cousins and numerous life-long friends. A Celebration of Life will be held from 6:30-9pm, on Friday, December 1 at Dance Quest International 853 Lithia Pinecrest Brandon 33511.
