CROFT, EDNA Marie Carrow Spry, 81, of Tampa, Florida,
went to be with Our Lord on May 10, 2007.
Originally from Little Washington and Chocowinity NC.,
born Oct.16,1925.
Edna was preceded in death by parents Artie & Audie
Carrow, sisters Estelle Carrow Clark and Annie Ruth
Carrow.
Edna endured a long battle with COPD and was fortunate
to have a peaceful ending, at her home surrounded and
cared for by her adoring children, Sandy Westrich,
David Croft, Carla Croft and Sherry Barrington, all
deeply grateful for the professional guidance and
gentle care provided by LifePath Hospice, with special
appreciation to both Kay and Jennifer. Edna leaves
behind her beloved brother Ersell and sister-in-law
Pat Carrow, both of Chesapeake Virginia, their
children and church family, her Aunt Myrtle Ruth Boyd,
Faye Edwards and several additional family members.
Edna's legacy lives on through her loving family and
special friends; six grandchildren, Ron Westrich
Jr.,Sherri Mauk, Artie, Aaron and Ashley Croft,
Heather Westrich. Edna's great grandchildren include
Heath and Riztine Panganiban, Tru Perez, and Harmony
Croft.
Special loved ones, Cyndi and Trevor Rosine, Litton,
Tracy Easterling, Betty and Rosa.
Edna's lifes work and special gift was nursing,
obtaining her RN in Fayetville, NC., Edna was a
teamleader for the original opening of John Knox
Village, Tampa, Fl.and instrumental in implementing
new techniques at Florida Mental Health Center, USF
Campus.
Edna's 81 years were filled with adventure's that
grew from working in tobacco, hospital emergency
rooms and geriatric centers to cocktails at Tavern On
The Green, spinning slots in Las Vegas and walking the
beaches of Hawaii.
A memorial service will be held for Edna on Sat. May
19,2007, at 4:00 pm, at Melech Hospice House Chapel,
11125 N. 52nd St. Temple Terrace, Fl. 33617,
(813) 984-2200, followed by a celebration of Edna's
life at the home of Sherry Barrington, 10401 N
Boulevard, Tampa, Fl. 33612.
