IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Edna "Faye"
Baker
November 28, 1929 – July 6, 2022
Faye W. Baker, 92, passed away peaceably into the arms of Jesus on July 6, 2022 at Sun City, FL. Born November 28, 1929 in Peach Creek, West Virginia, the middle daughter of the late Roby E. and Virgie (Blankenship) Wilson.
Preceded in death by Burrell Lee Baker, her husband of 62 years, and sisters Ruth Ellen Belcher and Roberta Ann Queen. Survived by son Gregory Lee Baker (wife Terri) and daughter Dreama Renee Craddock (husband Frank). Eight beloved grandchildren are blessed to call her Mamal. Laura Craddock Speller (sp. Scott), Jennifer Craddock Damico (sp. Tony), Rebecca Craddock (fiancé Billy), Carson Baker (sp. Cathy), Shelby Baker, Kimberly Craddock Nimmo, Krystle Baker Russell (sp. Bill), and Kevin Craddock. 25 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren filled Faye's quiver full with joy.
Originally from West Virginia, Faye and Burrell moved the family to Florida in their mid 30s, raised their children in church and faithfully served their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in all they did. Faye worked as a bookkeeper in a bank, as office manager for several distribution warehouses, and as Accounts Receivable Office Manager for Westinghouse in Tampa. She loved to work and was admired for her work ethic - do it right, give 150% effort, respect others. Faye and Burrell moved back to WV in their mid 50s and built their dream home on a 70 acre farm. While residing in WV this second time around, Faye worked as office manager for Lincoln County Opportunity Center in Hamlin. Shortly after Burrell's homegoing to be with Jesus in 2011, Faye moved to Florida again to live with her family in the Riverview/Valrico area.
Faye loved her family beyond words, enjoyed trips to Disney World with the grandkids, sunny beach days with the family, going to church, and lived life to the fullest each day. One of her delights (and a favorite memory of all the family) was making peanut butter fudge for the kids, especially when they were visiting in WV, and it was their favorite.... fabulous! All who knew Faye loved her for her kindness, fairness, unconditional love, generous spirit and her "spunkiness". She was just fun to be with, always had a smile on her face, and loved being with her family.
She will be greatly missed, and she will always be in our hearts, forever loved. We will cherish her memory and await our joyous reunion with her in Heaven.
