Edeltraud Lagemann, better known as "Grandma Trudy," passed away peacefully at home, in the wee hours of the morning on Friday, July 28, 2017, at the age of 91. Trudy is survived by her five children, four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many loving friends. Born in Czechoslovakia, Trudy immigrated to the US, the country which she cherished as her home, in 1956. She witnessed many changes in her new found home after leaving the hardships of World War II behind, to enjoy the freedom, she whole-heartedly embraced in this country. Trudy always had a warm smile for everyone she met. She will be missed by all. And now when we want to talk to her, we don't have to speak loudly for her to hear us. May she rest in God's peace. After her cremation, per her wishes, a Memorial Mass will be held in her honor, to be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her name to the charity of your choice. Trudy loved her garden, all animals, and any good book, while she was still able to read the print.
