Dorothy Monforte, 89, beloved mother and grandmother, went to her heavenly home on October 24, 2026. Dorothy resided at Grace Manor in Plant City. She was retired from Hillsborough County Schools.

Dorothy enjoyed many things in life, but her favorite by far was spending time with the family she cherished. 

She was preceded in death by her husband Louis and her son Thomas Edward Tatum, Jr. She is survived by daughters Delora Johnson (Tommy) and Beverly Rivera (Kevin), daughter-in-law Vicky Tatum and stepson Anthony Monforte (Zaida).

She is also survived by grandchildren Ryan Tatum, David Johnson, Heather Osborne, Diana Dunn and Alyssa Rivera, as well as eight great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

To honor Dorothy’s wishes the family will hold a private graveside service.
