Dorothy E George's Obituary
Dorothy E. Hinson George was born on August 1, 1927 and left this earth to be with her Lord and Savior on June 25, 2021. She and her husband, Aldon, celebrated their 77th wedding anniversary on June 12, 2021. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Aldon,and three children - Linda Smith (
David)
, Judy Burkett (
Robert dec.
) and Don George (
Christine
). She was loved by five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her twin sister Doris Norris and brother Earl Hinson; survived by sisters, Peggy Walker, Evelyn Blount, Mary Lou Hill, Sharon Noble and brothers Alton Hinson and Talmadge Hinson. She was a devout Christian, who loved her family very much. She and Aldon established WA George Upholstery in Riverview, Florida in 1960 and made many lifelong friends throughout their life. Dorothy was also a greeter with Aldon at Bell Shoals Baptist Church for over 40 years. She will be greatly missed by many people whose lives she touched with her giving heart, love of God and vibrant personality. Her family celebrates her life and are blessed that she had over 93 years on this earth. A Visitation for friends and family will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Road in Riverview, followed by a family graveside service at Noon, Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Durant.
