Donna Jean Snyder(Mimi), 79, born April 9, 1941, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, November 30, 2020 at  Advent Health Hospital in  Wesley Chapel,FL.

She was the daughter of the late Rev. Charles (Gladys) Simmons of Riverview.  She is survived by her loving son, Damon (Peggy) Snyder , twin grandchildren Brittany and Brandon , and niece Debra Ellars, all of Lutz. Also surviving is a brother Rev. Robert (Jeanette) Simmons of Fountain Hills, AZ .  Ohio relatives include brother in law Jerry Snyder, sisters in law Sherie (Jimmy) Penix, Hope (Paul) Harper, Faith Simmons,  and a host of nieces and nephews who could always expect a birthday card with an enclosure from Aunt Sissy. She was preceded in death by sister Leona Ellars of Brandon, FL , brother Larry Simmons and numerous of cousins in OH.

Donna and  Dwayne moved to Florida from Ohio in 1977 and for many years were cottage parents for Hillsborough County Children's Services.  Donna also was employed by the David Joseph Company for many years.

Donna's passing is a great loss, not only to her family but also to her church family at Idlewild Baptist Church in Women of Faith.   She was a faithful and active member in both church and Sunday school and her presence will certainly be missed.  She was a loving and faithful caregiver as well having cared for numerous family members and friends throughout the years as well as helping out whenever and wherever she saw a need.

Viewing will be held Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 10 am to 11 am at Idlewild Baptist Church with the service immediately following.
