Stanford, Donald Lester, 75, son of James and Macy Stanford of the pioneering family of south Hillsborough County, went to be with the Lord on October 31, 2008. He is preceded in death by his beloved lifelong wife, Nancy, and son, David. He is survived by his daughters, Catherine Stanford, Donna Dileo (John), and Vicky Helms (Mark); his grandchildren, Kyle Lester Hughes (Cindy), Darcy McKinney (Eric) and Matthew Helms (Katie); great-grandchildren, Aimee Slate, Amber Cregar (Bryan), April Slate (Justin) and William Tinney; one great-great-grandson, Austin; sister Emma Lee Turner and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a gathering of family and friends on Tuesday, November 4, 2008 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Bloomingdale Cemetery. Rest in peace now Daddy.
