Obituary

Rev. Donald Raymond Repsher, 91, of Riverview, FL, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2020. Born August 20, 1929, in Bangor, PA , he graduated from Bangor High School in 1947. He graduated from Albright College, Reading, PA, in 1951 with a B.S. degree in psychology. He graduated from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio, in 1954 with a M.Div degree.

He served as pastor in St. Luke's and St. Mark's Evangelical United Brethren congregations in Bethlehem, PA (1954-1956), EUB churches in Lehighton, Weissport and Big Creek, PA (1956-1963), Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Willingboro, NJ (1963-1968), 1st Presbyterian Church in Montgomery, NY, where he was also made Honorary Peace Officer (1971-1986), 1st Presbyterian Church in Weedsport, NY (1986-1994). After retirement he also served in Zion United Presbyterian Church, Wind Gap, PA.

Rev. Repsher had many hobbies and interests, which he enjoyed sharing with others, including history research, genealogy, and hiking. He belonged to the Society of Biblical Literature. He volunteered as a researcher for the Jacobsburg Historical Society in Nazareth, PA. He was made an honorary member of the Lenape tribe of eastern PA for researching their history and helping their cause.

The family is holding two memorial services. They will be held on December 17 at 3:00pm in the First Presbyterian Church, 121 Carver Ave, Brandon, FL, and on December 20 at 2:00pm in the First United Evangelical Church, 25 S. 2nd St, Bangor, PA.
