Rathburn, Donald R, SFC US Army, 74, of Valrico, departed us to be with his family and Our Lord on December 8, 2010. Donald loved his family and his country; he proudly served and retired from the Army National Guard and also from the Army Civil Service after 30 years. He had a passion for monetary collectibles. He is preceded in death by his second wife, Chong Cha Pak on December 25, 2003 and his first wife, Chung Cha Yu on May 2, 1973; his daughter, Star Charlton; and siblings, Dale, Gene, Jamie, Joe, Linda and Terry. Donald is survived by his loving family, children, James Rathburn. Martin Rathburn, Sherry Mayo, Susan Booton and Sandy Cassey; siblings, James "Dick" Rathburn, Diane Fisher and Dee Nugent; 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at 3:00 pm at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, with a visitation one hour prior. The family would like to especially thank Nancy Rathburn for her love and care of Donald over the last several years.
