Donald William Flynn, , 77, of Riverview passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Mary Flynn and Doris Flynn and loving wife of 38 years Joyce Flynn, who died August 10, 2008. Born August 12, 1933 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is surived by his sons; Sean W. Flynn and wife Pamela, of Riverview and Brian S. Flynn and wife Karen of Tallahassee ; two step grandchildren; Lindsay Reichert and Luke Mowrer of Hanover Pa. Donald and his family moved to Riverview in 1980 coming here from Baltimore, Maryland. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War . After 20+ years of service in the U.S. Army he retired a Staff Sergeant after serving in Viet Nam. Following his military career he became a forensic photographer with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office and retired after 15 years of service. He enjoyed photography, fishing, firearms and spending time with his family and friends. He was a life member of VFW Post 8108, American Legion Post 148, Desoto Masonic Lodge 105, Moose Lodge 2158 and the Hillsborough Sheriff Alumni Association A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. prior to service time.
