Fitzhugh, Donald Arthur, 87, of Riverview, passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2012. Don was born July 10th 1925 in Akron, OH. He moved to Hialeah, FL in 1954, Avon Park in 1976 and Riverview in 1993. He served with the US Navy as a medic in the Pacific during World War II and later in Boston, MA. Don retired as a Fire Inspector for the City of Hialeah. He was predeceased by his wife of 56 years Bettie Darnell Fitzhugh, his parents Arthur and Effie Fitzhugh and a brother Robert Samuel. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law Linda and George Musgrave of Riverview; grandchildren, Chris (Kate) of Fort Collins, CO, Mike of Arlington, VA, and Adam (Erin) of Riverview; and a brother, Kenneth Fitzhugh of Akron, OH. Don enjoyed fishing and woodworking during his retirement. We want to give our special thanks to Dr. Byrnes, Kate and the caring staff at Brandon Health and Rehab.
