Dennis Dean Brooks, Sr January 6, 1932 – November 13, 2025

Dennis Dean Brooks, 93, of Valrico, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2025.

Dean was born on January 6, 1932, in Bartow, Florida, to Luther and Annie Myrtle (nee Walker) Brooks. He married the love of his life, Elizabeth Swafford, on September 14, 1951, and together they shared nearly 74 wonderful years of marriage.

He retired from Continental Can Company and was a devoted longtime member of First Baptist Church of Brandon, where his faith and kindness touched many lives.

Dean is predeceased by his loving wife Elizabeth, and is survived by his sons Dennis Brooks Jr. (Cyndi) and Gary Brooks (Cathy); grandchildren Kana Brooks, Joseph Brooks (Alysia) and Lauren Quincey (Joshua); great-grandchildren Jaren Quincey and Eilidh Quincey.

He was laid to rest at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park in Riverview, Florida.

Dean will be remembered for his deep faith, devotion to family, and the warmth and grace he shared with everyone who knew him.
