IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Deborah Susan
Barone
July 26, 1957 – July 20, 2024
Deborah S Barone passed away on July 20, 2024, after a courageous battle with early onset Alzheimer's. Debbie was born on July 26, 1957, in Richmond VA, to Bessie (Tilman) Hosford and the late Palmer Hosford.
Debbie was an extraordinary and talented individual having taught acting under her mentor, noted acting teacher Eric Morris. She was a 30-year member of the SAG-AFTRA actors union having served as an officer. Debbie taught acting in Tampa as well as New York City, directing plays in both venues. She also attended the prestigious School of Performing Arts in New York City, in their summer program.
She was well-traveled, being the daughter of an Air Force Veteran. She lived in various states and cities across the US and spent much of her youth in Germany. Debbie and her husband also traveled extensively around the US, Germany, Holland, Sicily, and Italy. Debbie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister.
She is survived by her husband Richard, son Robert (Lauren) Murray, daughter Chivon (Dean) Simmons, and her precious grandchildren, Hailey Simmons, Garrett Simmons, Kyleigh Murray, and Kaden Murray. She is also survived by her mother Bessie Hosford, brothers Steven (Diane) Hosford, Andy (Miranda) Hosford, and sister Rebecca Hosford, and several nieces and nephews.
Debbie and Dick had an incredible loving marriage making sure they laughed every day. Her laughter and crazy personality were contagious. Her many friends and family can remember her fondly for her humor, kindness, and compassion.
A service will be held at Serenity Meadows Funeral home in Riverview, FL on August 10th at 12 noon. In place of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer's Association, act.alz.org
