Obituary

Deanna Mercedes Coyer, of Tampa Bay, Passed away peacefully on February 15th, 2020. Born in Tampa on November 6, 1941. She graduated Chamberlain High School 1959. Married Donald Roark in 1959 and mothered 3 wonderful children…..She then moved to Arkansas in 1960 as a military wife then shortly there after moved to Wisconsin due to Don taking a job with her dad. They then moved to North Carolina around 1973 where she attended nursing school and graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1976. Her first nursing job was at Pitt County Memorial Hospital where she worked for a year before divorcing Don and moving to Florida. She was looking for a job at St Joseph's hospital but ended up dialing the number to Memorial Hospital where she accepted a job and ended up meeting the love of her life Richard Lee Coyer Sr. They married in 1980 and lived happily ever after! She mothered one more son of her own and later mothered 3 of Rich's daughters as well. She loves her entire family very much and worked everyday to show that love is what makes a family.

Moms favorite childhood memories were growing up in Tampa, swimming in the sulfur springs river with her little brothers, Jimmy and Jerry. Her first job was at the age of 15 where she worked on a tobacco farm. Her hobbies included reading and going to the movies. As a child she enjoyed going to the Springs Theatre and being spoiled by her grandma Hutchins️

She faithfully attended church, she was a member of the Church of God; and kept watching on TV once she became unable to attend. She had a strong faith & love for Jesus and believed in His healing power. She will be missed by her family and good friends Margaret Glisson and Diane Tintle.

Mom's journey through life had many paths, and winding roads. But she reached her greatest destination for eternity. As we celebrate her life we know she has been reunited with loved ones that have gone before her. We know we will see her again!
