David Thomas ("Tommy") Starkey age 50 of Tampa, Florida passed away peacefully at home with his family and beloved dogs by his side, on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, due to complications from a recent diagnosis of cancer. Tommy was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and playing with his dogs. He was a quiet, reserved man who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren who were a joy to both him and Ameigh. Tommy is survived by his life partner Ameigh Nostrant, parents David and Delores ( Dee Dee) Starkey, daughter Santana Starkey, stepchildren Mike Nostrant and Hayley Nostrant, grandchildren Novah and Gabby, brother Dennis (Jamie) Starkey, niece Jacquelyn Starkey and her daughter Sevannah, nephew Michael Starkey, Aunt Janice Lane, Uncle Bob (Lynn) Starkey and several cousins including Kim (Ronnie) Netterfield, Scotty Lane, Brittney Lane, Christopher Lane, Tiffney Lane and her daughter Brooklyn, Joey (Pam) Lane, Robert Starkey and Tracy Starkey. Tommy was preceded in death by his granddaughter Aadilynn, Uncle Rick Starkey and Uncle Joe Lane. A brief ceremony will be held on Saturday, June 5 at Serenity Meadows Funeral Home, 6919 Providence Rd in Riverview, FL 33578. A private family only viewing will take place, which will then be followed by a visitation for friends and family from 1pm-2pm with the funeral service at 2pm, officiated by Brother Mac Clements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Ameigh Nostrant, 4807 50th Street, Tampa, Florida 33619 which will be designated towards family wishes.
