Darrell Leon Sitton, 75 of Seffner Florida passed away peacefully at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital on August 28, 2021. He was born on May 11, 1946 to Lewis and Prudencia Sitton in Winter Haven, Florida. Darrell is survived by his loving wife Diane Sitton, his children: Heather Mackin (Brice), Cindy Evancho (Ron), Deborah O'Steen (Zack), Jennifer Munksgard (Matt) and Douglas O'Steen; his grandchildren Noah Hrabe, Adam Hrabe, Vance Munksgard and Tyler Mackin; brother and sister in law Clint and Terri Childress and Charlene Lehman and his dog pal, Rico. Mr. Sitton served in the U.S. Navy, worked for CSX Railroad for 44 1/2 years and served as local Chairman for the UTU in Tampa for many years.  The family would like to say a special thanks to the James A Haley Veterans Hospital and Hospice Unit for such wonderful care. Placement of Darrell's remains in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell with Military Honors will take place Monday, September 20th at 11:30 am. PLEASE BE ADVISED, DUE TO COVID-19, MASKS ARE REQUIRED WHILE AT FLORIDA NATIONAL CEMETERY. Darrell's Celebration of Life will be held at The Barn at Winthrop, 11349 Bloomingdale Ave, Riverview, FL 33578, on Sunday, September 26th from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
