Born September 3,1950 to Charles Willing and Kathryn O' Leary Willing in Chicago Heights, Illinois. Graduated from St. Michael grade school in Schererville, Indiana. He held a drag racing record in 1967 at the US 30 dragstrip in Merrillville Indiana. Graduated from Bishop Noll High school in Hammond, Indiana in 1968. Attended Northwestern Michigan Junior College in Traverse City, Michigan for 2 years and transferred to the University of South Florida to complete a degree in Business Administration in 1973.

After graduation he took a job with Westinghouse commercial sales but always missed his true calling and love... automobiles. In 1976 took a Service Advisor job at Precision Motorcars, the Mercedes Benz dealer in Tampa. He spent 46 years working for the same dealership and forged an unbelievable number of personal and professional relationships with his coworkers and customers. A truly amazing career.

Dan is survived by his wife Ivy of 36 years, daughter Hannah, son Gregg Torres (wife Katie), granddaughters Charlotte and Violet, his brother Chip (wife Elissa), sister Patricia and niece Christina Templeton.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday May 2nd at 10:00am, at Christ the King Catholic Church, 821 S. Dale Mabry Hwy., Tampa, Fl. A reception will follow after the funeral Mass at 2118 W. Dekle Avenue from 12:00pm till 2:00pm. Interment will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery at 3:00PM.

In Lieu of flowers, contributions in Dan Willing's memory may be made to St. Jude Cancer Research Hospital/Help End Childhood Cancer.
